This actually took place way back but I did not realise I had not addressed it till now when I was clearing pictures. A totally free event but need to sign up online early.
I found out of this event through Facebook and was lucky enough to get a slot. Organised by True Yoga, I think this is their way of giving back to the community. Participants have to report at the registration table to get their wrist bands indicating they have signed up. There were some people who joined in without signing up but that just means no goodie bag for them. Other than that, all were welcomed to the free session.
The session starts on the dot at 08:30 am at the super tree gardens by the bay. Participants have to settle down by then and they really do start on the dot. There were a few stages so that those who cannot see from certain angle will get to know the moves.
The yoga was mainly sun salutation with variations, a few twists to shake out the stress in the body too. The one hour session let participants felt rejuvenated and refreshed. In between there was a toilet and water break which was about 5 minutes. Some of the True students went forth to discuss with their instructors on some of the poses.
The surrounding was really relaxing, not many times we can just lay a mat and lay down on the ground under the super trees. Luckily for us, the day was not too sunny and there were some breeze.
After a rejuvenating session, participants were treated to a bountiful goodie bag. There were so many things inside, which I felt was even better than joining some of the races in Singapore. Cereals, coupons, shitake mushroom jerky and many more. I was surprised with the generosity of True yoga. Unfortunately, this time Huiting could not join me. But I would definitely get more to come in the next year event!
