Sundown Marathon 2023
Its been years since I joined the Sundown again, and paid by myself. The last full marathon with them was in 2017 and a free bib some more. I never liked the Sundown because I am a person who really need the sleep.

Another run this year, decided to join back because the race fees are cheap, the goodies bag are good and bountiful and most importantly, I love the cosy environment there with the community feel.
Went back to do this race again, but not increasing the hour. Still went for the 12H daylight group. This time round my target was to hit 100k which I didnt managed to the last time.
The first mass physical race in Singapore since the Covid 19. I actually joined the Yellow Ribbon Courageous where you run 21km and cycle 60Km in a certain time frame to be able to get the physical race.
As usual, the way I search for races especially for Thai races is like doing some Goggle research. Since the Devil trail got cancelled, I began to look around for some trail race to kick start my engine again. But I also do not want to kill myself. So elevation is also a key.
After doing the 28 loops round MR for the MR 25 challenge, I was actually quite tired about doing trails. But this was one race I thought maybe worth the while to do as I really did not feel like looping anything anymore and Mountain Goat was another loop race.
This was a postponed race from 2020. Was really looking forward to it then as I promised to join with my Indonesian running friend, Jusuf, whom I met in Tahura Marathon at Bandung. We had always wanted to meet again for a race in Indonesia and when we finally wanted to do this, Covid hit in 2020.
I have been very reluctant to write this one, because it was very painful experience. Another reason was that this year, I did it with a person whom I really respect and I felt I had dragged him down the wrong way in this one. After last year’s attempt, I have been thinking seriously, do I really want to do it or let it go? In the end, seems like I just cannot let it go and signed up again.
Took me sometime to realise I never update about this one. I signed up for this major’s virtual edition. Got confirmation and was really excited about it.
Did not thought about joining this race at all, then just got spurred by one of the swimming friends, Fidel Costa. He was running the Bukit timah summit all the time and I realised that he was joining this activity.
