Venice Marathon 2024
In 2023, when I lost the London marathon ballot for the 6th time ( 6 years!). I got so fed up and it happened to be around the Black Friday sales period, so I chanced upon the Venice Marathon Black Friday sales.
Simply all the other distances covered and interesting races.

This year I did the qualifying on 23 Aug 2024. To speak the truth, I am not sure whether I can still qualify with just five rounds, but my speed was a little bit faster than others, so I felt that there are still some chances. The qualifying is for top 6 participants with the most rounds followed by the best timing. The six from each category will then be invited for the final show down on 27 Dec at MacRitchie.
Joining the MR 25 group is to motivate me to keep going for faster speed and achieve Boston qualifying. To speak the truth, I am really not up to the mark in the group because they are really fast.
The pacing program was organised by the Running Department. This running group has been in Singapore for quite sometime, but I never joined them namely because the members are all pretty young.
Joining this race was by pure chance. I did not really want to spend more money on races in Singapore as they are really too expensive. To think I can get the same race overseas like Malaysia and Thailand with half and price and more perks too.
Joined this event because of MR25 invitation. I am not a speedster but I thought since this year, I am going to improve on my speed, I might as well see where I am standing.
Another physical race in Singapore, as things eased up after covid restrictions. I began to think its time to review back all these SG runs which I once had. I had never joined the Run for Light before because it is too far in North East of Singapore, Punggol.
This race took part in Chiang Mai towards Chiang Rai area. Nature is in great abundance in these places and it brought me back to the days where I was travelling in this region very frequently. I always loved the weather of Chiang Mai, not too overly cold yet the sunny daylight bring some warmth to you.
The first mass physical race in Singapore since the Covid 19. I actually joined the Yellow Ribbon Courageous where you run 21km and cycle 60Km in a certain time frame to be able to get the physical race.
After doing the 28 loops round MR for the MR 25 challenge, I was actually quite tired about doing trails. But this was one race I thought maybe worth the while to do as I really did not feel like looping anything anymore and Mountain Goat was another loop race.
