One of the ladies run in Singapore that is well liked by the ladies not just because it is a run dedicated to the ladies, but also the fact that the run provides one of the most bountiful goodie bags from food to ladies stuff like skincare , hair care etc.
The Petaling Jaya Half Marathon is considered one of the oldest HM races in Malaysia. HM is never my interest, ever since I started with FM, HM has become more like for training. Going for overseas HM is also not that frequent, this time round, since most of the running friends are doing this, I decided to just crash. Having known that Malaysia is famous for many good runners, I thought just to go and see where I stand.
This is my second time running this race for FM, and thank god to say I managed to squeeze into the podium again. The weather was humid and hot with heavy rain just the night before the race. Being a place that I hardly want to stay too long because I am neither a shopper nor a foodie. But Hatyai has its charms in many other ways.
Taipei Ultra Marathon is a different type of marathon that goes for your maximum effort in the stipulated hours, longest best 48hours , 24 and 12. For the 12 there is a choice of day and night, and also there is also an Ekiden relay within 6 hours. Most of the participants are return runners who have taken part in last year’s relay.
Taitung in the South Eastern part of Taiwan is a beautiful and scenic place to be if you like nature. First heard about Lisong from this travel show in Taiwan. Hot springs are in abundance in Taiwan, from Taipei all the way down south there are many famous places for hot spring such as Chi Ben. But wild hot springs has became a popular topic for travellers now as they unfold the beautiful nature of Taiwan.
This race is held in Taipei, Yang Ming Shan by the Chinese Taipei Association of Ultrarunners, the race categories are set as 5K, 10K, 20K and 42.195K. There are also longer ultra races 50km and 66km. The one I took part is full marathon of 42.195km, to speak the truth this is more like a hilly road race than a trail.
First time came here in 2016, when I was back here for a marathon in San zhi , Taipei, as usual in the winter cold. Dazzling is a studio ran by very professional teachers and I must say the students are no joke either, though the studio is small and sometimes the number of students are few, many of them are quite advanced level themselves.
Joining the Rayong Marathon is actually not part of my plan for this year. Went to Thailand only once this year for the Koh Chang Marathon, I felt I need to do one more in Thailand. It is always enjoyable to race in Thailand because as usual the race is relatively cheap, with good after services and many good after rest and relax.

What is with a runner’s mind and mentality ? Often we talk a lot about the runners’ physical body and injuries and not much about the soul and mind. It is also an important part for the mentality of a runner so that he can continue keeping up with the motivation and joy of running and also achieve the best results.
The North Run 2017 was held in the One North area, Bouna Vista on 5th Nov 2017 ( Sunday). Categories are 5k, 10k, and kids dash with parents of 800m.
Its been sometime since I took part in Singapore races, the last one was POSB kids run in September. My results was not what I had expected, but it was a nice run with my Tortoise running club friends.
This time round for the North Run was because it is near my neighbourhood and it is about one of the cheapest runs I can find in Singapore.
